Liebster Award!!!

I was nominated for this Liebster Award back in December and never got the chance to actually accept and post. I want to thank Dee from xoxolovedee for this award.  Now I have been nominated once again by Anxious Mom from Blogging for Therapy. Thank you ladies! I feel very honored and loved!

This post is going to be a little on the long side, since I am combining the two together. 😉

11 Questions From Dee For Me..

1. What does your spouse/significant other think of your blogging? He doesn’t mind, I know he would like to read it, but knows I am a bit self concious of that.

2. What is your earliest memory? I stayed at my grandparents house when I was very little while my parents worked. I remember when my grandpa came home every afternoon, I would run to him and leap into his arms. He would then carry me across the threshold. 🙂

3. What do you do for fun? I like to hangout, watch a movie, be silly.

4. If someone asked you to give them a random piece of advice, what would you say? In real life, there is no Algebra!

5. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a Veterinarian. But I couldn’t do it, because I have such a soft heart!

6. What did you do on your 16th birthday? I didn’t do anything special. No sweet 16 party for me. 😦

7. If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet?  My great grandparents on my mom side. They came from Germany and both died when I was very young.

8. What is one of the scariest things you’ve ever done? Flew on an airplane…by myself.

9. If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go? I would like to go to Australia.

10. If you could learn 1 random skill, what would you learn?  I always wanted to learn to draw.

11. Are you a spontaneous person or do you like to plan things out in detail? I plan. I would love to be spontaneous, but it never works out.

11 Questions for Me from Anxious Mom:

1. What are the last three movies you watched? Stephen King’s A Good Marriage, The Interview, and Penguins of Madagascar.

2. What is one convenience you wouldn’t want to live without? Electricity. You never realize how much you need it until it is off for awhile.

3. What is your favorite childhood memory? I somewhat answered this one is the top section of questions. Let’s see…another memory would be when the neighbor brought his horse down and let all the kids take a turn riding him up and back down the dirt road. First and only time I was on a horse, altho we owned some when we lived in Las Vegas.

4. What is a song that you really like, but pretend you don’t? I don’t have one, I either say I hate it or I like it.

5. Name one book that has had a profound impact on your life. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou

6. What is something that people would be surprised to know about you? I am a big kid at heart.

7. Why did you start blogging? Well I was reading another blog one day and just had a thought. Hey I could do this. And so it began! LOL

8. Do you get into politics? Nope,  I am totally lost when someone brings it up.

9. What’s one thing you would change about the world we live in? That people would be nicer to one another.

10. You hit the lottery–what’s the first thing you would buy? I would buy a new car, so I could go look at houses!

11. Which song describes your life? Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me

11 Fun Facts about yours truly!

1. My favorite season is spring time.

2. I think solids look the best on me.

3. I dye my hair blonde,  but wish I could go back to my original color and actually like it.

4. I took 2 years of Spanish and 2 years of French and can’t really speak a word of it.

5. I once cried at a job interview because I got very overwhelmed with the whole thing. Later that day, they called and gave me the job. I turned it down.

6. I moved in with my hubby after only knowing him for a month. We are going on 17 years!

7. I used to read all the time, but it had to be true stories, or autobiographies.

8. I can get rather moody pretty quickly.

9. My favorite food is Chinese.

10. I never learned to swim.

11. I believe this was the hardest list I have had to make in a long time.
